Redican’s Mother was named in honor of Larry Redican’s mom by Galway flute player Jack Coen (1928-2012) from whom Jack learned it from on a visit to Dublin with Larry in the early 1960s.The tune can be traced back to O’Farrell’s Pocket Companion asTrealock Lauder (tune #136) and several other variants along the way.

The Humours of Derrykissane is tune #64 inVolume 1 of Breandán Breathnach’s (1912-1985) Ceol Rince na hÉireann.

A Blast of Wind is tune #1123 from O’Neill’s Music of Ireland.
