Horse Keane's Hornpipe and The Kerry Huntsman and The Guns Of The Magnificent Seven

from Kilkelly by Mick Moloney, Robbie O'Connell, Jimmy Keane

/

about

Horse Keane’s Hornpipe was written by Jimmy Keane for his father, Jimmy “Horse” Keane, a great sean nos singer originally from Connemara.

The Kerry Huntsman is tune #1447 in O’Neill’s Music of Ireland.

The Guns of the Magnificent Seven with the extremely unusual third part was composed by Fermanagh bouzouki player Fintan McManus. Don’t try dancing to his one!
